Abstract
Monthly accident figures up to and including july 1978 served as a basis for forecasting total accidents for 1978 as compared with 1977. Forecast value showed a general increase in annual vehicle mileage, the highest increase being on motorways. Accidents involving personal injury are classified. A considerable increase in personal injury accidents involving the moped/mofa group is forecast. Compared with 1977 the number of fatalities will decrease overall.
