Abstract

This paper explains the assumptions and approaches required to reduce the problem into a mathematical format which is then utilized by the computer in formulating of final grade elevations. Explanation of the use of original data, output data and incidental design control is made using a typical design sample problem. This explanation is supplemented with illustrations so that the reader can develop a program for equipment available to him.
