Abstract

STOCK is a computer program for localizing parking demand with respect to its supply. It allows the simulation of rush-hour parking phenomena and the calculation of a global index of the difficulty of parking. Plans for a rational parking policy can then be tested by comparing generalized cost to that of the present situation considering receipts from parking charges to users.
