Abstract

The paper reviews the accident reducing effectiveness of a number of counter- measures which could be implemented in Western Australia, each of which targets a specific accident problem. It is concluded that by making many small improvements in road safety, the road accident problem in Western Australia could be considerably reduced, and by probably as much as a quarter.
