Abstract

Although bicycle helmets have been shown to reduce the rates of head injuries and brain injuries from bicycle mishaps, use of helmets is very uncommon. The authors compared a comprehensive awarness program to increase bicycle helmet use among schoolchildren to the impact of that same awarness program plus a bicycle helmet subsidy.
