Abstract

Some problems associated with the classical approach to the analysis of accident data are reviewed briefly. An alternative approach, based on extension of a proportional hazard regression model to deal with repeated events, is proposed. Methods for function and parameter estimation within the framework of partial likelihood are presented for a variety of models.
