Abstract

This short paper describes the Emergency Warning System developed by MATRA which is based on the MANET communication system. This system incorporates a vehicle to roadside dedicated Short Range Communication System (DSRC) and a special vehicle to vehicle communication system. The latter uses the Short Range Mobile Radio Network (SRMRN). Brief details of the systems architecture are provided, and uses for the system are proposed.
