Abstract

The research activity undertaken for the definition and setting up of a standardized reporting system for road accidents fully responding to the cognitive and operative needs of different categories of users is amply illustrated. Importance is also given to the need of comparability at an international level, particularly as concerns the contents of accident statistics. Standardization at a European level has greater possibilities of success if conducted by the EEC.
