Abstract

In Japan, many traffic problems occur because the widths of roads are narrow. In these circumstances, the authors propose the Pocket Loading System which appropriates the existing facilities such as monthly parking for practical use and attempts to organize a loading space network off-road. It is managed automatically by operating machines which lock a vehicle with the plate moving up and down from underneath the vehicle. It will be able to inquire and reserve a vacant space, and establish the time to give priority to delivery vans with an indicator.
