Abstract

A look into the near future on alcohol drugs and traffic safety is presented. There will be three important developments into 1989 (1) an increasing rate of further differentiation and refinement in a number of research areas (2) increased attention to a more conceptualised and more theoretical approach to the field of alcohol, other drugs and traffic safety, including the use of computer models, and (3) increased selectivity in determining and supporting research in alcohol, drugs and traffic safety.
