A prospective study of severity of CNS trauma and vehicular accidents.

Abstract

The purpose of this report was to ouline the profile of a large group of patients sustaining Central Nervous System trauma as a result of vehicular accidents. Data looking at contributing factors in the frequency and severity of injury are analyzed. While many conclusions can be drawn from the data attention is focused on the use of alcohol, the lack of seat belt use, and the relationship between the size of the vehicle and the severity of injury.
