Protection for public service vehicle occupants in frontal impacts.

Abstract

The development of a dynamic test to evaluate occupant retention by coach scats in severe frontal impacts is described together with the background data and impact testing on which it is based. An equivalent static test is discussed and the reasoning and test data which form the basis of the proposal are given.
