Abstract
Analysis of accidents and laboratory tests clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of protective clothing for riders of powered two- wheeled vehicles. The one- piece protective suits which have been recently developed, and which are equipped with energy- absorbing material at injury- prone parts of the body, enable a further clear increase in the effectiveness of injury protection. However only a small percentage of motorcyclists use them. A questionnaire was held to investigate recommendations for more use of these clothings.
