Abstract

This paper describes the design and preliminary test of concepts for a dummy head incorporating load-sensing elements capable of evaluating facial bone fracture hazard by measurement of localized forces. The device can be rugged enough for repeated use, and is compatible with other dummy uses. The design and preliminary testing of the faceforce prototype headform concept is described.
