Abstract

This paper describes how state and city agencies have worked together to provide an integrated ITS system in a freeway/arterial corridor. The paper describes the ITS equipment in the corridor, but primarily focuses on the operating rules developed for the corridor. This paper should be of interest to other state and local agencies trying to develop improved corridor control for incident management.
