Abstract

The Pan European Simple Emergency Call number, for short to be remembered as "one-one-two", is considered by FEU as a primary tool to get in contact with the client. Within the federation the minds are more and more focused on the client-product link as an approach to the European co-operation of fire and rescue services. The other main area of attention is the integrated approach of physical safety in which medical assistance, police and fire and rescue services co-operate in a 'close harmony'. In the European framework of free movement of people, trade and services, the quality of the service depends strongly on the (language) skills of the involved personnel, most of all in the first fragile, important seconds of a telephone call for help. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
