Abstract
In the area of psychological research into accidents and safety a state of the art report is given. Relevant ideas and methods are clarified. Detailed and differentiated are the problems in the determination and acting in dangerous situations, risk taking and prevention presented. Human factors and environmental factors as accident causes are discussed.
