Abstract
It is known from studies of general traffic signs and control devices that the effectiveness varies with different characteristics: compliance value, location conditions, motivated recommendations, degree of supervision design layout and frequency of message change. Changeable message signs make it possible to provide the driver with topical information based on the relative situation. In part II an economic method for the central registration of directional and destination signs on motorways is tested.
