Abstract

In the context of the PROMPT project a new prediction technique for vehicle journey time has been developed which implements `within-day' and `day-by-day' filtering concepts. Comparative analyses have been performed of different prediction methods commonly used in Europe. The analyses have been made using series of real journey times. In this paper developments and results are presented together with indications for further improvements. (A)
