Abstract

The provision of 8500 off-street parking places to the centre of Madrid will be 75 per cent completed in 1970; in the overall central area, 5000 spaces will be available by 1972, leaving another 25000 to 3000 still to be provided. All public car parks are constructed underground, with a minimum of traffic disruption. Tariffs, concessions to operators and use made of existing facilities are discussed.
