Abstract

The United Kingdom's Department for Transport has released guidance for transportation providers that identifies best practices across the country designed to improve ridership among members of ethnic minorities and faith groups. Research included in the guidance indicates that many people from ethnic minorities feel deterred from using public transport due to language barriers and fears about personal safety.
