Abstract

A series of interviews concerning the most efficient and economical means of ensuring the availability of public transportation that the elderly and the handicapped can effectively use. The characteristics of those citizens are discussed, the dimensions of the problem are defined, and the major measures already in existence or proposed for facilitating their use of urban transit are focused on.
