Abstract

This specfication describes the qualification tests required for type acceptance of Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Devices (BAIID) by the Province of Alberta Solicitor General. It identifies the functional, durability, environmental accuracy, electromagnetic compatability, and special BAIID performance test requirements. Test procedures by each of the requirements are specified. In addition, a continuing compliance requirement is specified herein for BAIID manufacturers who have obtained type acceptance per this document.
