Abstract

For the investigation of pedestrian behaviour at signalized intersections different classes of pedestrians have been established. To quantify the description of risky behaviour of some pedestrians a "risk factor" has been established which was determined on basis of "safety logs". It is shown that pedestrian behaviour patterns at crosswalks with and without amber lights are identical in respect of incurring a risk.
