Abstract

Can My Safety Be Given Away is a mnemonic for the key element of the system of vehicle control used in the Advanced Driving Technique. It has been used in many countries for many decades and has proven to be able to ensure the safety of the individual driver using it. This paper comments on the driver attitude, road safety perceptions and priorities and then outlines the "system of vehicle control" that the mnemonic refers to.
