Queueing on the minor road.

Abstract

The queueing process is discussed for Poisson minor road traffic wishing to cross a major road. Four models are analysed, which cover a wide range of practical situations. The analyses rely on the solution to a problem in queueing theory, which precedes the discussion of traffic.
