Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 1995 includes 10 papers that explore pricing strategies; the feasibility of transport megaprojects; high-speed rail planning; high-speed rail safety standards; and innovative technology on the Shinkansen, Japan, high-speed electric multiple units. This issue of the TRR also examines bottleneck management methods, a crew resource management training program, hazards in transportation construction and maintenance tasks, and a model for predicting rail breaks and controlling derailment risk.
