Abstract

Snowplowable raised pavement markers were installed at hazardous locations in Connecticut to determine if improved pavement delineation would be provided resulting in added highway safety, when compared to conventional paint stripes. This report presents findings derived from the installation and subsequent observations on the markers. Illustrations of damage to reflectors and castings are provided along with observations made on the visual effectiveness of the markers installated. (FHWA)
