Abstract

A computer model excited by analog signals generated by filters from the-wide-band random signal of a digital noise generator, was used to study the effects of frictional force generated in laminated springs on vibration comfort and vehicle stability. It was concluded that the vibration comfort of an unloaded vehicle will decrease due to dry friction occurring in suspension systems.
