Abstract

A description of collision experiments of a vehicle with a dummy driver hitting a safety fence consisting of different types of prestressed wire gauze, supported by tensioned cables on metal posts. Details of measurements are described, e.g. stresses, deceleration, and damages effected to fence and car. Results appear satisfactory.
