Abstract

This publication describes the technical measures that seem necessary to reduce the number and seriousness of road accidents in Europe. It also sets out the role which the Community could play in order to support implementation of such action as soon as possible, and the organisation that the Community should adopt for that purpose. The technical measures include relevant education, publicity, legislation, and traffic engineering projects.
