Abstract

Sight distance is the part of the road which is visible for the driver. Sight distance is divided into: 1) driving sight distance and 2) stopping sight distance. Both driving sight distance and stopping sight distance are dealt with in the Dutch directives for the design of highways (ROA) and discussed in this preliminary report.
