Abstract

OBB (Austrian Railways) has introduced a system which integrates real time information for buses and trains. It is focused on the individual passenger and his door to door connection. Therefore, the real time information is available for journey planning and can be used for re-routing in case of traffic disruptions. This real time information is available for varyingdevices and different media. It can be used on displays inside trains, onmobile devices for conductors, by staff at stations or in call centers and most important by the passengers. Distribution channels, such as widgets, mobile phones, SMS services, video text or TV sets are supported in order to make traveling as comfortable as possible.
