Abstract

The author states that an acceptable solution of the problem of interaction of public lighting and headlights may be expected in the long run from polarization of headlights. For the time being, the exclusive use of passing beams in lighted streets, provided their glare is not higher than that of well-aimed E passing beams, is the best solution immediately available.
