Abstract
Escalating fuel prices and stricter emission control regulations have brought about many changes in the trucking industry over the last ten years. There has been considerable pressure to improve both engine efficiency and tractor /tailer aerodynamics. In this paper, recent technological developments and current research efforts are surveyed to evaluate future improvements and their potential application.
