Abstract

The Victorian State Traffic Accident Record is complex. Therefore, it can take between one and six months for the information to be stored on the state traffic accident record.Consequently, when the information finally reaches the user it is considerably out of date. In addition, the informa- tion is amassed in a way that ready dissemination of accident trends is difficult. Two new initiatives undertaken by the Road Traffic Authority to overcome these problems are described.
