This research note serves as a companion publication to the Technical Report State Alcohol Related Fatality Rates (DOT HS 809 673). The purpose of this publication is to analyze the trend of alcohol-related fatality rates – expressed as the number of alcohol-related fatalities per 100 Million Vehicle Miles of Travel (VMT), over the last few years by state.
