Abstract

Data for vehicle kilometres travelled in the United States in 1962 and 1967 are analyzed. Kilometres per vehicle tend to be slightly low in States with high levels of vehicle ownership. Similar data for Britain for the years 1960 and 1966 show tendencies similar to those observed in the United States, but the relationships are less marked.
