In addition to medical examination and hospitalisation, problem drinkers can also be detected by applying methods like special questionnaires and biological markers. Recidivism is also often regarded as a sign of alcohol problem. The rate of recidivism in Finland is reported. In five years about 1 /3 of drivers had reoffended.
