Abstract

Although the prevalence of child restraint device use has increased, many drivers use restraints incorrectly on their child passengers. The purpose of this article is to describe the incorrect use observed in a large sample of child passengers. This information should assist individuals in educating drivers about the proper use of child restraint devices.
