Recommendations for the lighting of roads for motorized traffic.

Abstract

The aim of these recommendations is to lay down the fundamental principles which govern the lighting of roads and to indicate certain well-established values and techniques. The recommendations given cover primarily the principles of lighting for road traffic and the photometric characteristics of fixed lighting installations which have to be provided as a consequence of these principles.
