Abstract

The problem of urban freeway rehabilitation is compounded by the interference of construction operations with high-density traffic, and in turn by the interference of traffic with the construction operations. Planning and programming processes that have produced good results are described step-by-step, design considerations that need to be taken into account are noted, and construction management practices inclusive of traffic control that have resulted in some successes are described.
