Abstract

The use of disaggregate, probabilistic models in the context of recreational travel behaviour, is examined. The requirements of recreational models and the previous research in this area are assessed. A strategy is then proposed for using disaggregate, stochastic models to represent recreational travel behaviour. Finally, a research program is suggested for a disaggregate, stochastic recreational travel model.
