Abstract
A before and after study was performed on a ramp ending with a stop sign and at the ramp's intersection with a one-way roadway. Speeds and lags for both day and night conditions were measured before and after the ramp was paved red. Before and after measurements were compared: the daytime speeds were significantly lower after the ramp was paved red, but for nighttime speeds and daytime and nighttime lags, there were no significant differences.
