Abstract

This conference contains papers which appraise the progress achieved to date in reducing road accidents. The role of both central and local government is discussed, as are various safety measures. The latter include traffic restraint systems, vehicle safety measures, education, and law enforcement by the police. For abstracts of the papers see C 2056 - 2062.
