Abstract

As long as seat belt wearing is not compulsory for each seating position, interactional-related additional loads and increased severity of injuries have to be considered. By means of crash tests with dummies it is shown that through straightforward modifications, especially at the front seat, an improved safety standard for the occupants can be realized.
