Abstract

The reflection of road surfaces and road markings in the illumination of the drivers own headlights is studied by means of model considerations. The predictions of the models are tested against a set of measurements on samples of road surfaces and road markings, for a range of geometrical conditions, and for both the dry and humid condition.
