Abstract

Regional traffic and transport management plays an important role to control traffic and transport flows to effect the formulated policy with regard to the available capacity, the living with traffic and the durability of the society. Public transport is a main part for it. By making self-supporting of the public transport this will change. The transport companies will give in into what the customers want. These wants are provided by the individual wishes of potential consumers, but are also partly based on the wishes of authorities with regard to modal split. The financing of public transport by the authorities depends on their formulated wishes, the demand for connections of individal paying passengers and the supply of connections that public transport companies set against it.
