Abstract

As a central part of the forecasting procedures within the Regional Highway Traffic Model, a series of sub-models were constructed to provide estimates of car ownership, trip generation, trip distribution and commercial vehicle movements. This paper relates to the work undertaken as part of the construction of the commercial vehicle model, and outlines the development of the model.
