Abstract

This paper describes a regional mobility information system called "CITY PILOT". Its main objective is to offer a comprehensive information tool for everybody using RDS (Radio Data Systems). End user terminals are portable ones in order to make pretrip information available as soon as possible at any time and place. Brief details of systems architecture and design are presented. Brief details of the "INFO-REGIO" project, which provides regional travel and traffic information, are also given. This system also presents information about public transport.
